Algeria rocked by killer quake

Death toll passes 2,000, could climb to 3,000. Algerians hurl stones at president in anger. An earthquake struck Algeria’s Mediterranean coast on May 21, measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale, a dynamite quake in the country’s most densely populated area, the north.
