Three African projects win Aga Khan Award for Architecture
This award program is a splendid one. It focuses on Islamic architecture that conveys the value system of Islam and its relationship with the rest of the world. Perhaps just as important, it is designed to be an educational award that confers honor on lesser known individuals and communities, especially rural communities that have organized local village organizations to assemble their architectural projects.
